FACT: Alcohol and gambling in Rugby Union
A majority of Australian Super 12 players [that's Rugby Union, not League] believe they have team-mates who are battling serious alcohol and gambling problems, according to a survey released by their players' asssociation today.
The survey of 84 professional Australian rugby union players, including 27 Wallabies, found that just over half of those questioned thought that between one and 10 players in their state squad had a serious problem with alcohol.
Fifty-seven per cent of those questioned believed that between one and 10 players had a serious gambling problem.
